Montessori Preschool Program Overview

Age Group: 2 to 5 years
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Extended Hours: 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM

The preschool offers a flexible schedule where children can enroll for one or more of the three daily Montessori sessions, each lasting 3 hours. Families can choose the number of sessions and days per week to suit their needs. The curriculum follows Montessori methodology, integrating structured learning with hands-on exploration and creative activities.

Daily Schedule Outline

1. 15 Minutes: Circle Time

   • Activities:
     • Pledge and National Anthem.
     • Calendar review and sign language practice.

2. 15 Minutes: Worksheets

   • Focus Areas:
     • Phonics.
     • Alphabet and word recognition.
     • Developmentally appropriate worksheets.

3. 30 Minutes: Demonstration

   • Activities:
     • Individual Montessori job demonstrations and practice.
     • Introducing the day’s letter, book, and worksheet.
     • Grace and courtesy lessons.

4. 30 Minutes: Hands-On Exploring

   • Areas of Focus:
     • Practical life and sensorial activities.
     • Language, geography, math, and cultural studies.
     • History, biology, science, planets, and geology.

5. 30 Minutes: Nutrition and Table Etiquette

   • Activities:
     • Lessons on nutrition and table manners.
     • Self-help practices and meal clean-up routines.
     • Socializing and etiquette-building exercises.

6. 30 Minutes: Outdoor Play

   • Activities:
     • Gymnastics, free play, and structured play.
     • Team-building exercises, yoga, and sports.
     • Lego blocks and cardiovascular activities.

7. 15 Minutes: Art and Craft Projects

   • Activities:
     • Art, craft, cutting, gluing, and sculpting.
     • Hands-on experiments.

8. 15 Minutes: Group Activities

   • Activities:
     • Music, puppet shows, and plays.
     • Juggling, storytime, and songs.
